JOB TITLE: Senior Mechanical Machine Designer
LOCATION: Agawam, MA


Job Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain mechanical equipment layouts, assembly drawings, bills of materials (BOM), design mechanical components/mechanisms, and create construction documents of designed components (detail drawings).
  • Enter component and BOM information into our ERP system.
  • Communicate with vendors and fabricators for parts sourcing.
  • Responsible for mechanical assembly and testing of prototypes.
  • Coordinate build and purchasing activities internally with suppliers.
  • Create project documentation, including manuals.
  • Provide technical support to troubleshoot.
  • Some travel to customer’s facility will be required – 5%

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years' experience in mechanical machine design.
  • Two years or higher degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.
  • Must possess machine design experience, preferably with machine tool accessories/equipment.
  • Knowledge or experience with Swiss type lathes, Citizen and/or Miyano machines a plus.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes relative to components designed.
  • Able to accurately and efficiently create working detail drawings of parts for manufacture.
  • Proficient with SolidWorks 3D.
  • Drafting experience required.
  • Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel.
  • Able to work with periodic/minimal supervision and guidance.
  • Able to work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Hands-on experience or aptitude required

JOB TITLE: Junior Mechanical Machine Designer
LOCATION: Agawam, MA

JOB TITLE: CNC Service Technician
LOCATION: Agawam, MA

Seeking qualified individual to install, maintain and troubleshoot CNC machines for OEM. Travel up to 70% required.


Job Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, trouble shoot, and do repairs on CNC Machines (Citizen & Miyano helpful)
  • Replace ball screws, motors and cartridge spindles
  • Use ladder and diagnostic functions on all controls
  • Phone support for troubleshooting; daily and heavy at times
  • Align and adjust tools
  • Repair spindle bearings
  • Align and interface the barfeed unit
  • Perform first part run off; ensuring machine acceptance
  • Travel to customer sites for repair and/or troubleshooting.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to travel up to 40% of time. Not consistently.
  • 3-6 years’ experience in CNC machine tooling
  • 1-4 years Swiss experience helpful
  • Electrical, mechanical and automation experience
  • Proficient in geometry
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, read ladder diagrams and control diagnostics
  • Interact professionally with customers by phone and in person
  • Have a clean driving record and own vehicle
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work independently
