Candidates possess 2 to 5 years’ experience in the following or equivalent education:
Must have 2D CAD Drawing experience
Understanding of electrical drawings and schematics a must
Knowledge of Servo Control, Hydraulics Systems and electrical design
Experience with PLC Ladder Logic (Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Fanuc, Direct Logic)
Motion and safety controls experience preferred; specifically E-Stop, Door Safety, etc.
Must be able to read, interpret and create electrical schematics with CAD type software, AutoCAD or Drawing Software experience preferred
Robotics knowledge or experience is a plus
Must be able to set up and design control panels for automation
Candidate must be self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
Must be able to provide customer support and troubleshoot equipment by phone or in person when applicable
Willing to travel up to 10% for technical support
Proficient in Microsoft Office
High School Diploma or GED a must; some college preferred

This is an onsite position with a 35-hour work week

8+ years’ experience in mechanical machine design, preferably with machine tool accessories/equipment.
Able to create detail drawings of parts and assemblies accurately and efficiently for manufacture.
Must have working knowledge and experience with pneumatic and electric actuators.
Prefer experience with Swiss type lathes, Citizen and/or Miyano machines a plus.
Bachelor of Science or Associates is helpful, but not required.
Understanding of manufacturing processes relative to components designed.
Able to specify proper tolerances to achieve desired fits of components.
Able to work with periodic/minimal supervision and guidance.
Able to work effectively both individually and with a team.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Proficient with SolidWorks 3D design.

Responsible for the part programming of CNC machines, process development, and customer training in an manufacturing environment
Conducting pre-sale activities and reviews including customer visits, machine assessment and recommendations, and part processing recommendations
Programing, set up and training of Citizen and Miyano CNC lathes and CNC vertical or horizontal mills. Setting up CNC programming per customer specifications
Making accurate cost estimates, writing engineering reports, and interpreting plans and specifications
Provide customer support via phone and travel to customer sites
Domestic travel required in the tri state area - up to 80% for MA and CA, 30% for NJ and IL)
