Class Registration

Customers who would like to attend any of these training classes must complete and submit the MCC Training Class Registration Form at least three weeks prior to the course date to reserve a place in the class.

2022 Curricula

CINCOM Programming Class

Attendees should have basic G&M code CNC programming knowledge. The class will focus on Cincom Swiss-type lathe programming with an emphasis on both part processing and programming.

Swiss Concept – It is difficult to teach programming without some core fundamentals reviewed
MC-Data review – An in-depth review of how the control uses the Citizen proprietary MC-Data information
Mode Selection – Deeply instruct all G600 command mode selection codes used on the specific machine of the class
Program Beginning and safety/start process
Program Ending with barfeed and ending codes
Class will review/write a program together to learn programming basics
Review many other programming codes and processes like peck drilling, threading, milling, tapping and others
Time permitting, attendees will write a program for a class part print and dry run or sometimes run their part
This is a programming class but the class will see setup of collet and guide bushing adjustment along with tool setting to understand the entire process.




MIYANO PROGRAMMING CLASS

Attendees should have basic G&M code CNC programming knowledge. The class will focus on Citizen Miyano machine lathe programming with an emphasis on both part processing and programming.

MC-Data review –An in depth review of how the control uses the Citizen proprietary MC-Data information
Mode Selection –Deeply instruct all G600/G500/G700 command mode selection codes used on the specific machine of the class.
Program Beginning and safety/start process / barfeed
Program Ending codes
Class will review/write a program together to learn programming basics
Review many other programming codes and processes like peck drilling, threading, milling, tapping and others.
Time permitting attendees will write a program for a class part print and dry run or sometimes run their part.
This is a programming class but the class will see setup of collet adjustment along with tool setting to understand the entire process.




ADVANCED APPLICATIONS – CINCOM FOCUSED

Attendees should be experienced Cincom programmers that have written multiple programs.
First time or new programmers should NOT attend.

MAINTENANCE TRAINING

Attendees are expected to have basic knowledge of ball screws and bearings including concepts of axis alignments.

Swiss Concepts Review –Quick review of how it works!
Machine axis and tooling alignment will be reviewed. Physical alignment and also including what we call axis Grid Shift adjustment and fine adjustment of hidden tool pocket data. The class will use indicators and perform these settings.
Axis checks of backlash and motion review
Guide Bushing bearing check spindle checks
Review a Guide Bushing Bearing replacement along with proper loading of the new bearings
Review ballscrew replacement and proper loading of ballscrews
Review how to read I/O signals and the class will see how switches and signals can be checked
Control Backup SRAM and others
Regular Preventative Maintenance review




CINCOM OPERATOR SETUP AND REVIEW

Attendees should have basic machine knowledge and familiarity with Cincom setup. This is ideal for a setup operator that has proven programs and would like further setup training.

Setups machine with pre-written program that will cover basic functions
Proper setting of collets and guide bushings
Setting of OD and ID tooling front and back
Basic program explanation
Use of various setup features




LASER APPLICATIONS

Who should attend: Any engineer that already knows L20 programming and processing and desires to learn how to use the Laser function. Only the programming that is needed for the Laser is reviewed.

Basic Laser terms and concepts
Review different gas types and when to use them
Cleaning and adjustment
Review of many materials and cutting situations with best recipes
Cleaning Laser cut parts
